Geodeman has been hunting the Keokuk Geodes for over 30 years now. Geodeman has many locations that he hunts, from Keokuk up to Burlington, IA, up to the Bonaparte area and all along the Des Moines River by canoe.. Some of the largest Keokuk Geodes he has ever found came out of the Des Moines River. Check out all the pictures below.. Geodeman and I collected 99% of these specimens ourselves. They now reside in private collections and museums all over the world. |

A huge 8 inch very hollow very dark Brown Iridescent Calcite Keokuk Geode Pair. This one displays a large cluster of Clear Calcites in the center as well as Brown Calcite Cubes. This is a true Museum Quality specimen. One of the best we have had over the years. Very brilliant Green and Purple Flashes everywhere.

Another Museum Quality very hollow Iridescent Brown Calcite Keokuk Geode Pair. This one is about 7 inches across. Clear Calcites and Brown Calcite Cubes in this one. Very brilliant flashes of Greens and Purples throughout the interior. Notice the super rare Iron Pyrites on the Brown Calcite Cubes in the following pictures of this geode.
